With the team play season approaching, I thought I would take a look at safety plays. These are plays where you give up a potential overtrick to increase the chances of making your contract.
NOTE: Most safety plays are not appropriate for matchpoint duplicate play. This topic is intended for TEAM play. If you never play team games, I suggest that this class is probably not for you.

The usual 1M - 2M - 3M game try that we teach beginners is not the optimal way of inviting game. In this class, we'll look at a popular alternative -- trial suit bids, specifically, the Help Suit game try. When adopting this agreement, we can then replace the 3M bid with a "Preemptive Reraise". We'll look at that, too.
"Four-on-One" Shuffle and Deal
This class is a one-hour supervised play (AKA "Shuffle and Deal"). It's a little different from face-to-face
Shuffle and Deal games in that you will not be sharing me with a lot of other tables. There is only one table
in play, so you have exclusive access to me during play. I will answer questions as they come up,
and can also critique your bidding and play and talk about the deal after it's played if warranted.
Because of high demand and the difficulties in scheduling, I will no longer accept signups from solo players or pairs
. My apologies, but the process is just too difficult trying to mesh everyone together.
Please sign up as a group of four.
